Price £30 - £40

Join this Walkshop to learn about lichens, explore local hotspots, eat delicious food and create printed etchings from things you can find in your home! Claire will lead the lichen walk and talk, where you will learn the basics of identifying different types of lichen and explore their fascinating miniature world. This will be followed by a social meal of a hearty, herby, tasty and textured salad and cheesy garlic bread. The meal will be vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options on request. Amelia will lead the etching class in the afternoon, utilising objects and materials you can find in your kitchen to create prints of your etchings based on the lichens you've spotted. This is an exciting and accessible print process, with no experience necessary and all materials provided. You will finish the day with hand printed artworks to take away, inspired by your urban lichen field trip.
