We all bleddy adore a slice of pizza. In honour of the mighty dish, get yusens dahn to these pizza gaffs...
Oscar and Rosie’s
Olly, an ex-local-solicitor-turned-entrepreneur founded Oscar and Rosie’s in 2013, after growing tired of lackluster pizza with “plastic-like toppings”. But this is no gimmick - Oscar and Rosie’s use award winning, free range and locally sourced produce to create their best-bar-none pizzas, putting them at the very top of our list. From its humble beginnings as a weekly pop-up in The Picnic Basket, to its very own home on Thurland Street and now its current location on Stoney Street, the little independent pizza restaurant has earned its reputation as one of the best in the city.

Suede
No one makes hand-stretched pizzas better than a true Italian. Down to the dough – which is made at their family-run unit using high-quality ingredients and Italian methods – Suede’s pizza is one of Nottingham’s artisan-style bests. We recommend you pop in on a Sunday for their movie night to grab a pizza and a pint, and enjoy Suede’s chilled-out vibe.

Pizzaria Savai
Nottingham’s very own slice of Italy, the Savai boasts authentic stone-baked pizzas, using local ingredients to create distinctive and delicious flavours. Situated on the edge of the Lace Market, Savai has been serving freshly baked pizzas and authentic Italian cuisine to Nottingham for almost twenty years, so it is safe to assume that they know a thing or two. Take your other half on date night and enjoy the relaxing, ambient atmosphere.

Ugly Bread Bakery
With two shops in the city, one in the bustling centre of Hockley and one just off Old Market Square, Ugly Bread provides the perfect spot to people-watch and catch some rays from its outside area, or its cosier upstairs mezzanine, which offers a view of the busy streets below. This authentic Italian deli-style bakery strays from the franchise-type establishment in all of the right ways. Its quirky yet friendly interior, lovely coffee and tasty pizzas combine to make it the perfect place to catch up with friends while enjoying the aroma of freshly baked bread.

Secret Pizza
This little gem is located in the small alleyway alongside Rough Trade and sells the most delicious Italian inspired sourdough pizza. In order to make their eighteen-hour base, Secret Pizza use UK Heritage grade, unbleached stone-ground flour, adding a deep, soulful flavor to the pizzas. To be fair, I don’t think it gets much more hipster than having a homemade pizza down the side of Rough Trade, smack dab in the middle of Hockley, amirite?

Das Kino
Das Kino is a super cool bar where you can tuck into some of the most delicious pizzas in Notts whilst getting your ping pong game on at the same time. Their pizza names are filled with pop culture references, such as the Good Morning Vietnam, which is topped with a full English. Yep, you read that right. Other shiners include the Slumdog Millionaire, which has a tomato tikka base and Mutha Clucka, a chicken, spinach and pinenuts pizza with a garlic base. These guys know good pizza, I’ll tell ya.

Mod Pizza
If you ever see this place with a massive line outside, it’s because these boggers love to give out free pizza flyers around town. This gaff is fairly new to Nottingham, but it’s already earned a place in our hearts. Based in Old Market Square, it sells some crazy good, make-it-yourself pizza, and with over forty fresh toppings to choose from, you can create your very own perfect slice. They certainly don’t faff around.
