The results were annouced at 3.30am on Friday at Harvey Hadden Sports Centre in Bilborough. Not only did Nottingham City vote to leave, but so too did six out of seven Nottinghamshire county boroughs.
Areas like Mansfield, Bassetlaw and Ashfield returned overwhelming pro-leave results with more than twice as many people voting to leave the European Union than stay. The only area to vote remain was Rushcliffe. See those full results below:
