Meet Brotherhood, one of the semi-finalists of Nusic's FSN 2017...
How would you describe your music?
Feel-good, summertime, radio-friendly pop/rock.
What was your reaction to the news you’d be playing the FSN final?
We’re excited to be playing on the Rock City main stage where we’ve watched many of our favourite bands over the years.
What can the Rock City crowd expect from your performance?
110% as always.
Why did you enter FSN?
To get some feedback on our original material from people involved in the industry, knowing it was actually going to be listened to and not left in a pile on a desk.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
We both love all genres of music which can be heard in our own. If it’s done well, we’re a fan.
What Nottingham artists are you loving at the minute?
We’ve never seen The Dandylions, but we think they’ll give a fun and entertaining performance, which for us, is what it’s all about.
What are your biggest non-musical influences?
Being brothers and doing so many gigs together it has to be each other.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Performing and living for four years in Ibiza, playing IbizaRocks, supporting The Beautiful South and Slade and building a fanbase to be proud of.
Any last words for LeftLion?
Looking in the mirror, it’s a painted picture, glamour is a killer, everybody’s a winner.
The Future Sound of Nottingham final takes place at Rock City, Sunday 7 May, free.

We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
