Featured event credits terms and conditions

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms and conditions on which we promote your events (the "Service") on our website www.leftlion.co.uk (the "Website") and in LeftLion Magazine (the “Magazine” . If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, you may not use or access our Services.

You must read, agree with and accept all of the terms and conditions, which includes those terms and conditions expressly set out below and those incorporated by reference. Please tick the checkbox marked "I Accept" at the end of the purchase page if you accept them. Please understand that if you refuse to accept these terms and conditions, we will not be able to provide you with the Service.

1. About us

• www.leftlion.co.uk is a website operated by LeftLion Limited ("LeftLion", "we", "us" or "our"), company number 8661252 whose registered office and main trading address  is at 8 Stoney Street, Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1LH. Our VAT Number is 189381166.

2. The service

• LeftLion provide a platform whereby You can get your event ("Event") featured for publication a on the LeftLion website and magazine.

The "Service" will include:

• Provision of a printed listing within LeftLion magazine, where your event will appear highlighted.
• Tools to enable you to manage the content of your listing, including images, flyers and links to ticket purchase and external websites.

3. Eligibility

• If you are registering as a business entity, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms and conditions.
• You confirm that You are associated with the Event (an Event Promoter or Venue Promoter) and have the right and authority to advertise and promote the Event.
• The Event you are promoting must be happening within Nottinghamshire, UK.

4. Account

• In order to take advantage of our Services you will need to register with us. You must provide details of your email address and choose a password on completion of registration of your account.
• You are responsible for all actions taken under your email address and password and shall only use or utilise the Website using your own email address and password.
• You must make every effort to keep your password safe and should not disclose it to any other person. You shall not transfer or sell your email address and password to any other person.
• You shall also not permit, either directly or indirectly, any other person to utilise your email address or password.
• The account is a self service facility for use by you to list and feature your events
• LeftLion will endeavor to offer full technical support as required by you between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. Not including bank holidays or other public holidays.

5. Listing content

• You must ensure that you are legally eligible to advertise the content within your event listing on the Website
• You must ensure you have the right to use all content in your listing and we have the necessary right to use the content on our Websiite.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing the content of your listing to ensure all the details are correct. LeftLion will not be liable for any mistakes or errors in content that have been submitted by you.
• The content of your listing and your activities on the Website must not:
• Be false, inaccurate or misleading;
• Be offensive or menacing, abusive, defamatory, or in breach of any intellectual property rights, confidential information, privacy or any other rights arising from time to time.
• Infringe any third party intellectual property rights including copyright, patents, trademarks, trade secrets or any other proprietary rights of publicity or privacy;
• Be fraudulent or involved in the sale of counterfeit or stolen goods;
• Be in breach or any applicable laws or regulations;
• Be obscene, indecent or contain explicit material.
• Cause the Website to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or such that the effectiveness or functionality of the Website is in any way impaired.
• All event listing must:
• Listings must be culture or entertainment focussed events (for example but not exclusively: music, comedy, theatre, literature, art, cinema / film, gaming, fairs, food and drink, dance, community).
• promote a real event within Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom;
• only be listed once;
• contain correct spelling and grammar.
• not use uppercase letters or unnecessary punctuation to draw attention to the listing;
• contain correct and true information at the time the listing is entered.
• Repeated posting of unsuitable listings may result in the account being terminated.
• LeftLion reserve the right to remove or amend any events which do not meet or breach the above conditions.

6. Renewal, duration and removal of your event

Featured Event Listings are eligible for increased promotion throughout the Website and Magazine on the purchase and use of a Credit ("the Credit"). The Credit must be activated after the event listing has been added to the Website. The Credit can be purchased at any time. Credits are valid for using for 12 months from the date of purchase. If purchasing 100 or more Credits they are valid for use for 24 months after the date of purchase.

If you request the deletion of a listing we can only remove your listing with proof that You are the original advertiser.

8. Identity verification

LeftLion may verify the accuracy of the information you provide to us when you register your account. However, LeftLion cannot and does not confirm the purported identity of users of the validity of information which users post to the Website.

9. Payment

For the supply of the Service You shall pay to LeftLion the total of the credit as stipulated by LeftLion from time to time ("the Credit"). We take payment directly through the Website using Stripe as a payment processor and this must be done and cleared before the listing will appear as featured..

10. Intellectual property

You will remain the owner of the copyright in any original Materials that you submit or upload. The permission you have granted to us is not exclusive. You may continue to use the Materials in any way, including allowing others to use it, provided such use does not interfere with or impair the rights you have granted to us.

11. Refund policy

• Once your Listing is live LeftLion will be deemed to have fully delivered the Service.

• LeftLion will only issue refunds at the discretion of the management team.
• No refunds will be considered for:
• temporary or permanent loss of Service howsoever arising, including but not limited to a loss of Service due to the Website being unavailable for whatever reason;
• the deletion of your Listing by LeftLion due to Your breach of these terms and conditions

12. Ticket sales

• LeftLion Ltd have partnered with Gigantic Ltd, as their ticket sales provider. Events listed on the Gigantic website will automatically have a link to buy tickets through our branded gigantic website (https://leftlion.gigantic.com), by using our Service you agree to this and to Gigantics terms and conditions in full.

13. Publication distribution

• LeftLion Ltd will make every reasonable effort to distribute the Publication (LeftLion magazine) to our full distribution list we are unable to guarantee that all listed venues will stock the magazine issue to issue.
• LeftLion will make every reasonable effort to distribute the publication on, or before the published release date. However LeftLion Ltd accept no responsibility for delays with distribution and

14. Limitation of liability

• LeftLion will not be liable for any economic loss including without limitation loss of revenues profits contracts business or anticipated savings, any loss of goodwill or reputation or any special, indirect or consequential damages however arising including negligence arising out of or in connection with the Services being provided under these terms and conditions.
• The liability of LeftLion under these terms and conditions or in tort (other than in respect of death or personal injury) shall not exceed the greater of the sums paid by you under the contract.

15. Indemnity

• You agree to indemnify LeftLion from any claim or demand including reasonable legal fees made by a buyer or any other third party due to or arising out of your breach of these terms and conditions or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

16. Termination

• LeftLion  reserves the right to suspend or terminate with immediate effect at its sole discretion the publication of your listing

17. Force majeure

• LeftLion reserves the right to defer the run date or to cancel the contract or reduce the period of your advertising (without liability to you) if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond LeftLion’s reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, riot, civil commotion, fire, explosion, flood, epidemic, lock-outs, strikes or other labour disputes (whether or not relating to either party's workforce), or restraints or delays affecting carriers or inability or delay in obtaining supplies of adequate or suitable materials, provided that, if the event in question continues for a continuous period in excess of 10 days, You shall be entitled to give notice in writing to LeftLion to terminate the contract.

18. Data protection

• LeftLion shall manage your personal data strictly in accordance with its policy on Data Protection which can be found at https://www.leftlion.co.uk/privacy

19. Legal

These terms and conditions shall be subject to English Law and under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
