Game of Thrones Season Finale

Ooft, things are hotting up over in Westeros. Or should we say, freezing over. The White Walkers aren’t letting up, and poor owd Jon Snow hasn’t half been round the ringer of it. Will Sansa and Arya ever be able to work on the same team? And is Daenerys the true queen? All will most likely not be revealed in the season finale on Monday night, but you can have a right rip roaring time watching it down at Alt Bar anyhow. It’ll set you back £3 to get in, that comes inclusive of a soft drink, unless you come dressed up as your fave character, in which case your entry is free. Plus, you get to watch surrounded by GoT fanatics like yourself. Bless.
Monday 28 August, 8.30pm, £3, ALT Gaming Lounge, event link

Sometimes, you just need to take a couple of hours out of the day to do something creative and relax your mind. You can get involved too and make yourself a lavender bag, or a denim wristband. They’ve got all the materials, and your finished products will make proper nice gifts for your mates and your nan. It’s free to get involved, but if you do wanna take your bits and bobs home, dob ‘em a few bob so they can continue with events like this one.

And you get to control the action with suggestions for characters and storylines. Sound like a bitta you? We thought so. Paint n Sip

That there beach in the Market Square hasn’t half been rained on this year. It made its appearance long after our weeks worth of summer weather had been and gone, and settled in to a stormy August. Mek the most of it before it pops back into hibernation with a spot of painting, courtesy of Paint ‘n’ Sip. For £15, they’ll provide you with all the materials you’ll need to create a truly beautiful masterpiece, inspired by the gritty sand beneath your feet and the chlorinated fountain water being kicked up by snot-nosed sprogs. It might not be the Maldives, but it’s ours. Get stuck in.
