Nottingham’s blues rock band HAGGARD CAT have been snapped up by Earache Records, signing a worldwide record deal.

The duo - made up of vocalist/guitarist Matt Reynolds and drummer Tom Marsh -  originally made names for themselves as part of hardcore group HECK, before teaming up to become a heavy blues smash band. Together, they’re ready to reignite the fire of the UK rock scene.

After touring with the likes of Jamie Lenman and bagging a headline spot at Camden Rocks, HAGGARD CAT are now preparing for the release of their highly-anticipated album ‘Challenger’ on April 20th.

The duo said: “We’re so proud to sign to Earache and follow in the footsteps of some of our absolute heros; we’re in some great company and we can’t wait to show the world the beast that we’ve been working on.

“The future is going to be loud! Wear protection!”

They’ll be in good company too, as Earache already represents over a hundred thrash metal and deathcore bands.

As well as the release of new music, HAGGARD CAT will be hitting the road to support FEED THE RHINO in February, making a stop at Rescue Rooms on February 27.
