We’ve teamed up with the UNESCO City of Literature squad to deliver a book review competition...
Got summat to say about a Notts-based book? Good job then duck, because LeftLion and City of Literature are after your reviews, all in celebration of LeftLion’s January issue – The UNESCO City of Literature Special – which you can get from 350 stockists around Nottingham, or read online here.
Rules and That
The book you choose to review must be written by an author from Nottinghamshire, and it can be anyone from any period; historic or contemporary, famous or little-known.
Your review can be creative or conventional, scathing or praising, funny or serious, but it must have that Nottinghamshire connection in order to be eligible.
The best reviews will be published on the City of Literature website and a future issue of LeftLion, and the overall winner will receive a £25 book token.
Submissions
Please send your book review as an attachment to contactus@nottmcityoflit.org
In your email, please include your name and address, plus the title of the book you reviewed and the author’s name.
Book reviews should be a maximum of 200 words and entry into the competition is completely free.
All book reviews will be considered by a panel of judges from LeftLion and City of Literature, and the closing date for entries is 5pm on Monday 29 January 2018.
Gerrit done, and good luck youth.
We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
