This American, indie pop band are definitely one to watch.  Los Angeles based and formed in 2014, the band consists of Paul Klein, Charles Leslie “Les” Priest and Jake Clifford Goss.  Their beautifully mellow ballad style creates something very special when paired with their simple melodies and smooth vocal lines. They are rapidly becoming more popular and have supported acts such as Troye Sivan, Twin Shadow and Halsey. Nice.

What? The Hermes Experiment are a group of four young virtuoso players with a twist. Prepare to be amazed by the group’s overwhelmingly beautiful sound; their unique blend of clarinet, double bass, harp and a soprano means you are in for a treat.  The concert features a selection of pieces from a variety of composers from Maurice Ravel to the young winner of the 2017 British Composer award, Robin Haigh.

What? Join the Nottingham Youth Orchestra and BBC Young Musician 2018 category finalist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason in a celebration of Russian music. Conducted by Christopher Hoggarth and David Leeder, NYO's music includes Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 and Stravinsky Firebird Suite. The NYO is made up of over 300 young people with a passion for music, and regularly gives concerts of a high standard around the world. The group is made up of six orchestras – Training, Intermediate, Youth and Jazz. Lovely.

Take a journey with Hallé to a majestic mix of worlds, with Game of Thones star Hannah Waddingham as your guide.  The eighty-piece orchestra will play music from a variety of fantasy films, TV series and video games including Game of Thrones, Final Fantasy, Angry Birds, How To Train Your Dragon and The Chronicles of Narnia.  Conducted by Stephen Bell, the orchestra will create a new sound world to be explored. Bell studied at the Royal College of Music and is in high demand by orchestras such as The Royal Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, so you can expect it to be a good'un.

What? Never seen an opera? Think it’s not for you? Come along to Streetwise Opera’s inspired performance and have your mind blown. The Opera Hour includes a selection of some of the most famous operas, including those by Gilbert and Sulivan, Lehár and Verdi. There will also be the world-premiere of The Wedding, which was composed by Streetwise opera’s very own composer in residence, David Wilson.  The chorus is made up of a group of people who are homeless and is supported by an orchestra of musicians.  You’re in for a joyful and inspiring evening of music like you’ve never heard before.
