Bring yer kids and yer grans and groove for a good cause….
Sneinton’s prime destination for gandering at goats and snorting at pigs is still, sadly, in need of some help. If you want to learn more about the brilliant charity-run facility, you can read about it here.
The community in Notts would hate to see Stonebridge City Farm struggle and there have been a few fundraising events thrown across the city to help raise some cash. In July, Soul Buggin’ will add to the list.
Wrighty, Beane, Mark A, Elmo and Mouse will be taking over Rough Trade and raising the roof with their signature selection of records to make your feet move. While you can usually find the promoters running late night events, this one’s a daytime affair so you can bring the whole family along too.
The event is run in partnership with the South Nottingham Soul Society, and community craft club, Make to Make, meaning there will be plenty to keep the youngsters occupied while your uncle dances to some funk.
Entry is free, but donations are actively encouraged. So don’t be a tight arse, duckeh.
Stonebridge City Farm Fundraiser - Family Daytime Session takes place at Rough Trade Nottingham on Saturday 6 July, 12-5pm.
We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
