The work of three young photographers will be displayed by businesses across the city...
The winners in the Photography category of the 2021 Young Creative Awards will have their work showcased across the city this month.
Creative photos from Daisy Bartram (13), Rosie Baird (18) and Fioralmpa Banousi (22) will hang in the windows of three Nottingham businesses, providing an interesting snapshot of the issues and themes occupying the minds of the county's young people.
Chosen from an abundance of quality entries, these artworks can be found at The Cornerhouse, Clean Cut Kitchen (Victoria Centre) and Sharps Bedrooms on Lister Gate from Monday 11 October to Sunday 31 October.
Nick Lawford, Director of Young Creatives Nottingham, said: "It is very exciting to be showcasing the work of the three YCA 2021 Photography category winners - Daisy, Rosie and Fioralmpa - in Nottingham's vibrant city centre, bringing their fabulous images to a huge new audience."
This celebration of local talent has been organised by the Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) to shine a light on the Young Creative Awards, which encourages entrants to address important themes including racism, gender stereotypes, mental health, homelessness and the impact of COVID-19 through their skills.
Commenting on the event, Lucy Stanford, Director of Operations at Nottingham BID, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Young Creatives Nottingham, it is a great way to make the city centre more visually appealing and give some points of interest. We look forward to seeing people stop to look at the artworks and discover what talented youngsters we have in the area.”
