House of Gucci is showing at Broadway and Savoy until Wednesday 8 December, and Arc and Showcase until Thursday 9 December.
West Side Story
Love musicals? Love Steven Spielberg? Boy, is this your lucky day. The legendary director is taking his first step into the world of singing and finger snapping with West Side Story later this month, and if early reviews are anything to go by, this is a joyous - if slightly unnecessary - remake of one of Hollywood’s most famous films. Hate musicals and hate Spielberg? This probably isn’t for you.
West Side Story is showing at Arc, Broadway, Savoy, Showcase and Cineworld from Friday 10 December, and Bonington Theatre from Friday 31 December.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
You might have heard on the grapevine that this one is on its way, but it would be mad to write a list of the best films coming out this month without mentioning Spider-Man: No Way Home - perhaps the biggest release of the year. If rumours are to be believed, this could be a mind-bending, nostalgia-filled leap into new territory for the MCU. With great budgets comes great opportunities for casting lists filled with A-list celebrities from Spider-Man films both past and present. Is that how the saying goes?

It’s a Wonderful Life
It’s been 75 years since this absolute classic was first released - bringing with it a heartfelt, introspective tale of tragedy, morality and sassy angels called Clarence. To celebrate this momentous occasion, several cinemas across the city are hosting special showings of the film - so you have the chance to see this iconic movie on the big screen this Christmas. How wonderful.

Licorice Pizza
The trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming release, Licorice Pizza, generated a lot of buzz on social media when it first dropped on YouTube - with many excited for what promised to be a stylish, charming exploration of young romance. From early reviews, the film appears to have lived up to expectations - boasting an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 92%. Sick of the sizeable swathe of blockbusters coming this Christmas?
