Set amongst the beautiful surroundings, Splendour Festival is back with a bang - a return to its original two-day format sees a huge line-up fill out the five family-friendly stages.

Spanning music, comedy, gourmet food and drink and more, the weekend is packed out with possibilities, and entertainment to please even the pickiest of partners. Stars include Richard Ashcroft, Craig David, The Human League, Happy Mondays and Example.

Most importantly, though, LeftLion's own Katie Lyle and her band, The Crying Violets, will be taking to the Courtyard Stage to bring their daydream-esque melodies and soothing vocals to you lovely lot.

Can’t get anyone to look after the kids? Fret not, there’s a dedicated kid’s section to top it all off. Cop ya sen a ticket, jump on a bus from city centre, and be sure to enjoy the variety of shows on offer.

Splendour Festival is taking place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 July. Tickets are available online

We have a favour to ask

LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
