For Issue #157, we will be visiting Swing Dash studios, based in Sneinton, to discuss their upcoming 24-hour livestream in aid of International Women’s Day.
Ahead of that, they will be hosting an event at Everyday People (12 Byard Lane) at 10pm on Saturday 4th February.
This will be the first ever party to be hosted in the Japanese food spot.
"Expect house and disco selectors until 4am, natty wines and good times provided by one of the city’s finest Japanese restaurants," they said.
Tickets for the event will cost £8.
The line-up will include Morey Cillar, Bruno, and Aicha. Here's a bit more about them:
Morey Cillar - playing his first homecoming set since launching Disk Frisk record shop in Bristol; away from his day job Morey's known for top notch selections at his Noods Radio residency, as well as sharing a stage alongside Avalon Emerson, Job Jobse, Ruf Dug & Toulouse Low Trax.
Bruno - Bristol selector and Soul Shake honcho, Bruno cuts his cloth putting on some of the best disco and world music parties in the city, and has popped on line-ups featuring Alexander Nut and alongside Palms Trax.
Aicha - a local hero, head honcho of Nottingham's female-run R&B collective Honey Dips and top selector, she will be treating us to a carefully selected curation of sugary-sweet disco and boogie cuts.

We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
