The exciting event is stopping by Trent Bridge this August. We run through all the details...
Yeah, we know, it’s cliche to say an event has something for everyone. But trust us, The Hundred - returning to Nottingham this August - really does have something for everyone.
Sure, this celebration of cricket is a feast for fans of the sport, offering an exciting, action-packed 100-ball contest that is bound to put you on the edge of your seat.
You can catch world class players at the top of their game in four double-headers at Trent Bridge this summer, featuring our very own Trent Rockets men’s and women’s teams taking to the turf to represent our city on the biggest stage. And, for the very first time, this includes the competition opener. Exciting times.
But if cricket isn’t your thing, there’s loads of other great stuff to check out at Trent Bridge during the events - with live music, leading DJs and food and drink from the likes of Notts Street Food taking over the historic venue.
The Hundred has teamed up with none other than BBC Music Introducing to bring top tier live music from across the country to our county, with a diverse line-up of artists (to be announced nearer the time) joining resident DJ Charlie Burley to entertain audiences at all four games.
In previous years, Trent Bridge has seen the likes of Jake Bugg, SEA GIRLS, Deco, Casey Lowry, and Queen Millz wow crowds from The Hundred Stage courtesy of the BBC Music Introducing Partnership - so you know the setlist is going to be top tier.
Tickets are already selling fast - but lucky for you lot, as loyal readers of LeftLion, we have a special link to get priority access to early bird prices, which is live from Wednesday 5 to Tuesday 18 April. The Hundred is family-friendly, inclusive, fun, and everyone is invited. What’s not to love? We hope to see you there…

We have a favour to ask
LeftLion is Nottingham’s meeting point for information about what’s going on in our city, from the established organisations to the grassroots. We want to keep what we do free to all to access, but increasingly we are relying on revenue from our readers to continue. Can you spare a few quid each month to support us?
