A six-week run is coming from the brains behind the Beeston Film Festival...
A brand new film club is launching in Beeston next month, taking over The Arc Cinema for a line-up of exciting independent films from across the globe.
Coming from the brains behind the much-loved Beeston Film Festival, the club will host screenings every Thursday for six weeks - starting on 11 October.
The first session will showcase a selection of award-winning shorts from this year’s edition of the festival, with cult classics like Aguirre, the Wrath of God and Cannes darlings like If Only I Could Hibernate helping to make up the rest of the schedule.
A season ticket is only £25, with each individual session costing £5, making this an affordable way to catch some of the best movies on the big screen.
Sam Kurd, Communications Lead for Beeston Film Club, said: “As the year marches on, we here at Beeston Film Festival continue to beaver away behind the scenes, watching and sifting and curating for next year’s tenth anniversary event.
“We could be content to bring you the best that the international short film scene has to offer, but no! We don’t like to sit on our laurels.
“That’s why, in addition to branching out into feature films for the very first time, this year we’re trying something new and exciting to whet your appetite ahead of the event itself – a film club!
