The new queen of liquid Drum and Bass came to Rescue Rooms with dance moves and sound systems that have set the standard for how these gigs can be performed...

Opening for her came Maisi. This Londoner came to the gig with a really fun energy, her music was definitely the perfect fit for the opener and I think it’s safe to say she was very humble about the whole experience.

She addressed the audience with a grace not often seen by artists and I really appreciated that; her beats were eclectic and her singing was perfect. It was also a breath of fresh air seeing the audience know so many songs of hers because she definitely deserves a following.

The only negative thing I have to say about her set is that her song Head which actually features piri was played, but piri didn’t make an appearance, which was sad because it could’ve been an amazing moment to see.

Following this, piri came out of a black sheet where she popped in out in accordance of the song, giving the audience but a taste of what’s to come. She had flair with dance moves that complimented her lights and her music.

I was slightly disappointed by her using mostly track for her vocals but I cannot deny that the sound mixing of the entire set was incredible, perfectly balanced in every way making for some amazing deep bass, especially when piri brought her producer Tommy Villiers out, completing their famous duo, to do a cover of When The Sun Goes Down by Arctic Monkeys.

The bass felt in their newly envisioned chorus was phenomenal, it made for a really interesting cover and take on the song, It was clear to see the audience definitely loved it; due to the small discography of piri and tommy, this wasn’t the only cover they did, filling a section with EDM and Drum and Bass classics that also resonated well with the audience.

The production for a small show was also very impressive; for a solid hour she did not stop moving and utilised every piece of her set, creating a beach scene with inflatable beach balls for the audience to slap around for her song beachin or her candlelit sit down for the acoustic part of the set.

Her production, energy and crowd control made for a fun gig that will stay with me for a while.
