It's a sad day for Nottingham Forest fans, as it is announced that manager Steve Cooper is gone for good...
After losing five of their past six games, Nottingham Forest have sacked Steve Cooper today.
Forest, 17th in the Premier League, have picked up just one point from their past six matches and are five points ahead of third-bottom Luton.
They are currently holding talks with former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo to replace him.
Nuno spent four years in charge of Wolves, before being sacked after less than four months at Tottenham after a run of five defeats in seven games.
He then joined Al-Ittihad in July 2022 and guided the Jeddah-based side to the Saudi title last season, but lost his position after twelve games of the new campaign due to poor results.
He has also previously managed Rio Ave, Valencia and Porto.
Forest will play Bournemouth at the City Ground this Saturday, followed by Newcastle United on 26 December and Manchester United on 30 December.
Thanks for the great memories and for finally getting Nottingham Forest back in the Premier League, Steve Cooper.
