We checked out Laura Dickinson, NMG and Murdah SRVC at The Chapel...
Well. What a night that was! The Angel was absolutely buzzing. Upstairs in The Chapel, Laura Dickinson opened with a beautiful set of her own compositions, accompanying her bell like voice with gentle guitar playing.
Noisemaker's Guild, (NMG), came out second with Jez setting us up with an awesome guitar intro. Lee appeared in his frock coat and banged out the vocals. What followed was simply amazing. Haunting guitar riffs, solid bass playing and drumming more than complemented the overall showmanship.
On third, Murdah SRVC, headed up by Che, brought another extremely interesting dimension to the evening. Highly engaging, energetic and thought provoking. To rehash an old Oscar Wilde quote: 'I've been to a great party, but this wasn't it.' Well actually, it was! £7 ticket price: a snip.
I thoroughly recommend all three acts, the venue with their wonderfully attentive staff and the Angel Microbrewery beer. The 'Spirit' was certainly through us all on the night. Well done to everyone...
