The scene was set again at Billy Bootleggers. Saturday afternoon and the house was packed. The Maybellines, probably the least known and underrated rock and roll tribute act in Nottingham took on an impossible task playing from 3pm. However, as usual, they banged out a superb two set performance of classic covers including Pretty Woman, Be Bop A Lula, I Feel Fine and Maybelline.

And they had the crowd dancing – really dancing. This early on a Saturday. Unheard of, surely. And yet they've done it before and no doubt will do it again. It's a great venue to for showcasing top quality talent such as these guys; I highly suggest they are worth going to see as soon as you can and before the ticket price goes in to three figures.
