Suede are an influential English alternative rock band formed in London in 1989. They are widely recognized as one of the pioneers of the 1990s Britpop movement, alongside Oasis, Blur, and Pulp, though the band often distanced themselves from the label. Their music famously blends the glam rock theatrics of David Bowie, the melodic melancholy of The Smiths, and dark post-punk influences. To date they have released ten studio albims.
The Manic Street Preachers (often colloquially called "The Manics") are an influential, highly politicised Welsh alternative rock band formed in Blackwood, Caerphilly, in 1986. Known for combining intellectual, fiercely political lyrics with elements of punk, glam rock, and arena pop, they became one of the most prominent acts in British rock music and a cornerstone of the 1990s "Cool Cymru" cultural movement. To date they have released fifteen studio albums.
On Wednesday 11 November they play a double-header gig at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena. Tickets are priced between £51 - £86 and are available to buy from the Motorpoint Arena website. Or you can enter our simple competition below to win a pair...
