The ultimate mash-up of chicken wings, beer, live music and Bavarian-style mayhem is coming to Nottingham for a two-day celebration on 23-24 October. We have two pairs of tickets to give away for two clucky readers...
Taking place between 23-24 October at OUT Nottingham, Wing Fest will bring the Bavarian-inspired celebrations to the newly redeveloped industrial site, now transformed into a slick multi-use events space.
It’s time to don your finest lederhosen and dirndls. Think foaming steins of beer, stacks of chicken wings, Oompah bands, DJs, eating challenges and long tables packed with hungry festival-goers, basically everything you could want from Oktoberfest, but with significantly more hot sauce. And, in true Wing Fest style, wings will still be just £1.50 each.
An array of Wing Fest’s top chicken wing traders will be bringing their menus to Nottingham, giving hungry festival-goers the chance to work their way through a serious selection of award-winning wings.
Traders will include Nottingham’s very own Mollis, by Michelin-starred chef Alex Bond, alongside award-winning Kikis, Peck Peck and Gordo’s, all of whom have picked up accolades at this year’s Wing Fest events. Expect their award-winning Wing Fest flavours alongside special Halloween and Bavarian-inspired twists, with plenty of wings and strips to get stuck into.
London rotisserie concept Hendl will also be making its Wingtoberfest debut, bringing its take on Bavarian street-food to Nottingham with a menu of big and juicy bratwursts. Then there’s the beer. Expect up to 10,000 steins, cold pints and plenty of opportunities to raise a glass with your mates, with Oompah bands and live music providing the soundtrack to the festivities.
Wingtoberfest will also bring eating challenges to the party, giving brave festival-goers the chance to put their stomachs and spice tolerance to the test. But it’s as much about the entertainment as it is the food, with the legendary Beer Puppeteer, plenty of games and Bavarian-style revelry keeping the good times flowing.
The inaugural Nottingham Wingtoberfest promises a full-throttle celebration of everything that makes Wing Fest a cult favourite, great independent food traders, seriously good wings, cold beer, live entertainment and one hell of a party.
