Tell us something interesting about your pub/bar…

We specialise in quirky craft cocktails and unconventional flavours. Also every wine, drink and food item on our menu is vegan.

What's the best thing about your job?

It’s an excellent creative outlet, and our clientele – we have a lovely collection of regulars that stop by throughout the week, I genuinely look forward to catching up with them and subjecting them to my latest creations.

What's the worst?

Maid Marian way – we’re a three minute walk from the town square but the road is such a barrier to Nottingham night life. On the one hand it allows us to have a more relaxed suburban atmosphere right in the city centre, but people hesitate to walk out here once they’re in the hub of bars and restaurants.

What's your best selling drink?

Of all time it would have to be the Coffee Cream and Cigarettes. Created by one of our owners Julien, it’s a blend of Tonka liqueur, Lillet Rose and La Medida mezcal finished with a salted coffee and agave cream. Smokey, decadent and delightful.

What's your most expensive drink?

Barring bottles of wine, £12.50 for our top shelf classic cocktails.

Describe your bar or pub in three words?

Welcoming, whimsical and adventurous.

Who's the most famous person you've had drinking in your place?

Recently, we had a couple of the England cricket team and the coach pop in.

What's the best thing a customer has ever said to you?

“That might be the nicest thing I’ve ever drank, I’ll take three more”

How would you persuade someone who's never visited your bar to entice them in?

Come and say hello. You can have something familiar and comforting or try something you’ve never thought could or would work in a cocktail. We also have a stunning old Italian coffee machine and serve excellent coffee until we close the doors at midnight!

Find Loose Ends at 92 Friar Ln, Nottingham NG1 6EB.
