We caught a sneak peek of the second Nottingham Legends film before its online and Contemporary release

The film opens with a bleach-blonde, pig-tailed woman driving down Stoney Street, onto Broadway, and stopping at the restaurant. This is the title subject of Lace Market Media Group’s documentary Annie, and her Burger Shack.

After the moving and funny The Cockle Man, released in March 2014, Matthew and Mark Daunt, of the Lace Market Media Group, have turned their attentions to their second Nottingham legend Anmarie Spaziano, the American who made Notts her home and brought us some very unique and tasty burgers indeed.

Annie is a lovingly crafted documentary about the thoroughly interesting woman and story behind the Burger Shack. Nicely shot, with a great soundtrack by another Daunt (daughter and sister, Sam) and local singer-songwriter Rob Green, we cannot wait for this series of documentaries to continue and are well excited to see who is next.

Annie has a screening at Nottingham Contemporary on Tuesday 20 January at 7pm and will also be streaming on Lace Market Media Group’s Vimeo page for 24 hours from 7:15pm.
