How would you describe your music?
Grunge/punk, energetic.
What was your reaction to the news you’d be playing the FSN final?
Excited and relieved, because the competition was so close and it's a really great opportunity so we're just grateful that people voted for us.
What can the Citeh crowd expect from your performance?
A condensed but memorable set that's something a bit different to others you might find in the local music scene.
Why did you enter FSN?
To play Rock City and Splendour would just be an amazing experience, so we thought we may as well give it a go.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Hole and Courtney Love for all of us, along with more personal influences like The Beatles, Savages, Stevie Nicks, PJ Harvey and POND.
What Nottingham artists are you loving at the minute?
Same Streets, Cameron Sinclair Harris, Unqualified Nurse Band, Billie and Taco Hell.
What are your biggest non-musical influences?
Probably things that happen to us, because a lot of our lyrics are about our experiences. Snakes. And Lenin for Miles.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
We can't decide on just one, but within them is definitely playing Rock City for Dot To Dot this year. We never thought we'd be moved to that stage from the one we were meant to play, and it was something we won't forget.
Any last words for Leftlion?
Just a huge thank you for the support and we'd love to see people on the 19th at the final!
