How would you describe your music?
A smooth concoction of soul/pop/funk/disco/r&b with flavours of Marvin Gaye, Rihanna, Tuxedo and Pharrell. Thats the best way to paint a picture to somebody who hasn't heard me - through my influences but each project I do is unique and doesn't neatly fit into a genre.
What was your reaction to the news you’d be playing the FSN final?
I was amazed and excited I couldn't believe the judges liked my music that much to put me straight through. It is an amazing opportunity and I am very thankful to everyone involved with Nusic for making it possible.
What can the Citeh crowd expect from your performance?
A chance to party. I aim to entertain and deliver a top-knotch show with the live band who also bring their personality into it. I think live music is all about the audience having fun so that what I am to do and create a fantastic experience and get people on their feet dancing.
Why did you enter FSN?
Because it is a great platform to reach a wider audience and I felt I had developed enough as an artist to be ready to be in the spotlight and entertain and represent Notts and make more connections.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
MJ, The Beatles, Bowie everyone involved with Motown, Mayer Hawthrone and Anderson Paak.
What Nottingham artists are you loving at the minute?
Harleighblu and Georgia Copeland- both of whom I have seen perform amazingly live recently, they are both unique and talented artists and I am lucky enough Georgia is part of my band for the FSN final!
What are your biggest non-musical influences?
My family are my inspiration and I owe everything I have achieved so far to them and am very lucky to have them. I am so obsessed with music that 99% of anyone I'm interested in is a musician.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Reaching the 2014 FSN final and after time away improving as an artist in the studio over the past few months and reaching this years final.
