Day One:
What a wonderful day to start off with the sun blazing. Whether it’s your first festival or have lost count to the many you’ve attended, you can already sense it’s going to be a good two days ahead.

Straight to the food village the mac and cheese van has caught my eye and with no hesitation I go for the Carlos Santana with plenty of their homemade hot sauce. Next on the list: games/sheer madness which included inflatable boxing, jelly wrestling, and tug of war that was highly entertaining as the hosts were luring people in with many innuendos I’m not able to repeat.

Swiftly moving on to the other side of the field where the Stealth stage was located and a mass of people raving to the set by TCTS. Of course I joined in, never too old to rave. Slightly up the hill we encounter a small gathering dancing which looked like an aerobics class by the formation the crowd were in. On closer inspection colourful dressed men and women in eighties style aerobics gear with one of the hosts shouting numbers. Welcome to the ‘Car Boot Disco Bingo’ a great unique idea and the first time of seeing this sort of thing at a festival. Hopefully we’ll see this more in the future and it gets sent to gala bingos across the UK…

Back to the Stealth stage where hordes of festival goers rush over for Hannah Watts’ set. While she is spinning tunes screams of her name can be heard of diehard fans trying to get her attention as they show a lot of love to the DJ. After her set we set upon a mission to find some cocktails. Fortunately, two converted classic VW vans were open for business with music to accompany and serve all festival people - Beetle Juice Cocktail Bar -  where we had Dark and Stormy (muddled lime, fiery ginger beer and dark Cuban rum over ice) and Beetle Juice (gin, fresh lychee, fresh raspberry, apple, squeezed lime over ice).

Onward to the main stage where Nick Mulvey was performing. A large crowd is in attendance ready to show appreciation as Nick and his band play folk sounds within the summer breeze lovely. The next act on the main stage and clearly popular among the uni students is DJ Fresh, wiith festival goers singing along to club hits such as Gold Dust and Gravity.

As the sunset descends upon us, one of last few artists on the Saturday bill is Jessie Ware, who in front of a good turn performed songs from her two albums. Moving back to the Stealth stage, DJ EZ was back in full force after a minor power cut as the trademark that didn’t didn’t the crowd who stayed hyperactive throughout the classic garage/4x4 set that never disappoints.

Day Two:
As we walk down the hill from the entrance to the main stage KWABS is keeping the crowd moving. Onwards to the dance off stage where there is a boxing ring and full of festival people dancing away as the DJ spins a non-stop rotation of hits to keep everyone moving.

For a chilled-out Sunday on the main stage was James Bay who had amazing crowd participation as he went through his current debut album and threw in surprise song – a cover Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You. Near the end and as the sunset dawns the notts sky, the final act on the main stage is John Newman with the large festival crowd singing his lyrics he dances his way through his set.

Overall the weekend was a big hit with punters, and I can imagine it will continue to grow as another top Nottingham festival in the future.

No Tomorrow Festival was at Wollaton Park from Saturday 6 - 7 June 2015.
