If you were lucky enough to make it through the thunder storm, not only were you given some great live music, and an awesome atmosphere, but you got to take a plastic lemon with a code to download Three Girl Rhumba's EP for free home with you.

First to grace the stage were the duo whose personalities are as infectious as their music, Scribble Victory; with the great connection they clearly have with each other matching their impressive harmonies. It looked as though they didn’t have a set list, and with their music being fun and happy, this only added to the relaxed, informal feel of the evening. Kudos to the lads, also, for not letting a few slightly disrespectful, otherwise distracted people in the crowd dampen their spirits.

The multi-talented Ghost Twins were ready with their synths, guitars, drums, and all manner of other techy bits and bobs. Multiple microphones were flying everywhere, with the boys constantly jumping between their numerous instruments, making it impossible to get bored watching them. With their music a mix of electronic, dance, experimental and indie, the band's set was full to the brim with something for everyone.

It was then time for the main act of the night, Three Girl Rhumba, and with them already having brought a huge amount of support, they were heavily anticipated. The feel-good atmosphere that the previous acts created set the band up perfectly. Their high-energy, catchy songs kept the party spirit going, and with inflatables being thrown around the room, it was easy to get that summer feeling back and forget about the rainy, dull weather outside. With the heat in the room made from the amount of jumping the crowd were doing as well – shown by the sweat dripping off the trio’s faces – you could have been mistaken in thinking you were at an exotic party with the huge inflatable bananas and lemons hanging from the ceiling.

Tray Electric, yet another multi-talented artist, was last onto the stage for what had now turned into one hell of a party. The synth had appeared again, and out came the melodic electronic music that had everyone jumping and laughing through the remainder of the evening. His clear talent with electronic music almost felt like we were at a party in Ibiza, and as the set came to an end, it was clear no one was ready to finish the night.

Everyone involved should be very happy with the way the night went, and let’s all hope we hear more about all four of these awesome acts in the future.

Three Girl Rhumba, Tray Electric, Ghost Twins and Scribble Victory played at The Chameleon on Friday 8 August 2014.
