On Monday, there was a panel debate at Rough Trade. During The Eu and You: What’s at Stake? Simon Dubbins and Sam Fowles explained why we should remain in the EU, and Patricia Mckenna and David Paton put forward the arguments that say we should leave. Hosted by the austerity-bashing People’s Assembly Nottingham, cases were outlined and the public’s questions were answered.

Luke Enderby commented on the Facebook event: “I thought the panel were excellent and showed that the debate can be had with immigration hardly being mentioned which was really refreshing.” For more information on the People’s Assembly Nottingham, you can find their Facebook page here.

Tomorrow, on Thursday 16 July, there is a less balanced event, but it's certainly worth a look-in. With an active stance to remain, Vote In – Another Europe is Possible will take place at the Keighton Auditorium in Nottingham University. Speakers include The Guardian’s Owen Jones, The Green Party’s Caroline Lucas, as well as members of regional organisations spanning from student representatives to local councillors. You can get tickets here.

On Sunday at 5pm, local radio station NGDigital is hosting a show called Should We Stay or Should We Go? The four-show series is dedicated to looking at the facts surrounding the debate, with preceding shows at the same time on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and you’ll be able to catch up on the discussions during the repeats at 9pm on each day. You can tune in on their website here.

In the meantime, make sure you watch our videos of the opinions of both the Nottingham public, and the creative business owners of the city.

Don’t forget, voting day is Thursday 23 June
