24-year-old Television Workshop lad Jackson Blyton is one of eighteen housemates to have landed in this year’s Big Brother house, which is now aired on Channel 5 after many years of Channel 4 providing Galloway cat impressions, bottle masturbation and scraps between some of the most fame-hungry human beings on the planet.
The 2016 series sees two houses, with lots of apparent surprises in store for both the audience and the contestants. The second house is filled with ‘The Others’ who are ready to stir things up for the twelve ‘proper’ housemates – made up of a plethora of models, journalists, actors and entrepreneurs. The first to enter the house was Marco Pierre White’s son – model Marco Pierre White Jr, who is a model after his own fame. Looks like the stakes are high already for our Jackson.
After claiming to be the anti-man, presenter Emma Willis asked how he deals with ‘those testosterone-filled bear blokes?’
‘I just let them get on with what they do. They like the gym, protein drinks, and all that crap. I’m natural man, keep it real, keep it normal, we’re Nottingham rahnd here. I’m a cool guy. Energy, energy, energy. Nothing really gets to me, and if it does, expect big things.’
Jackson Blyton has already had a claim to fame. After being in Nottingham’s Television Workshop for four years, he was scouted by Select Model Management, working in the industry since the age of seventeen and eventually going on to work with Rita Ora on a Calvin Klein fashion shoot. He’s even appeared in our Nina Smith’s music video for I Won't Forget You.
The Nottingham chap says: ‘I’m cocky, confident and I’ve managed to get every bird I’ve wanted.’
The reaction on Twitter has been pretty mixed so far:
