Stunning cinematography, a quotable script and a host of crazy characters make this essential viewing this September!

“Prince-Bythewood is stingingly astute at what fame does to objectify women. And Gugu Mbatha-Raw, so good this year in Belle, is a shining new star.” Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

This special screening will include an expert discussion with producer and documentary-maker Patcee Francis on the representation of women of colour on screen.

About the movie: In 1983, after decades of steady deterioration, writer and academic John Hull became totally blind. To help him make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began keeping a diary on audiocassette. Over three years he recorded over sixteen hours of material, a unique testimony of loss, rebirth and renewal, excavating the interior world of blindness.
