Initially banned on release, Flowered Up’s original acid house film Weekender has gone on to become a cult classic, selected by the BFI as one of the most innovative music films ever made. A pioneering meditation on the British rave scene, the original film is re-evaluated via Chloé Raunet’s fascinating and poignant documentary, I Am Weekender.
I Am Weekender (54m) will screen alongside the original Weekender (19m), followed by a Q&A with director WIZ, Flowered Up’s manager Des Penney, and the doc’s director Chloé Raunet, hosted by film writer Dom Gourlay.
Seating for this screening is unallocated - please choose your seats when you arrive.
