Screen Talk: Deathproof - Iconic Female Stunt Performers (uc)

This workshop, led by Monstrous Flesh’s Clelia McElroy, will explore the history and evolution of women in action films, with a particular focus on stunt work and 'real action' heroes. Participants will learn about the emergence of iconic female action heroes in the 1980s and ‘90s, the opportunities for and challenges faced by female stunt performers, as well as the impact of these films on popular culture and representation.
