Clipstone Headstocks
Industrial heritage museum run by Nottinghamshire Mining heritage Museum CIC.
A museum celebrating coal mining, Robin Hood, WW1 army camp, the first British road time trials, the first tarmac road in the world and other inventions from Nottinghamshire such as the circular saw blade.
Guided tours include an underground experience and roof top with impressive panoramic views. Guests will marvel from under the tallest headstocks in the world which are 62 m tall and see where up to one million tons of coal came out from the 920 metre deep shafts.
