Constructivist Art in Britain since 1951
A stunning selection of sculpture, reliefs, mobiles, painting, drawing, and prints, celebrating the dynamic abstract and constructed art made in Britain since 1951. The works play with bold colours and geometric shapes and explore how artists have worked in radical ways to continually reinvent Constructivist art. Artists include: Robert Adams, Lygia Clark, Anthony Hill, Kenneth Martin, Mary Martin, Victor Pasmore and Victor Vasarely. All works are loaned by the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, University of East Anglia. The exhibition marks an important bequest by collectors Joyce and Michael Morries, and many of the works are exhibited in public for the first time in decades.
The tour on 22nd June will be led by Neil Walker, Head of Visual Arts Programming at Djanogly Art Gallery.
