The first pair of Dr. Martens 1460 boots rolled of its production line on the 1st April 1960 and its been making them ever since. It makes boots and shoes like no other company on earth, and Dr. Martens have become a design classic, adopted by a succession of sub-cultures as a symbol of personal self-expression, individuality and standing for something.
