Join us for a discussion on the legacies of slavery and how they continued to impact politics, economics, and social relations in Britain and the British Empire in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Sascha Auerbach is the director of The Institute for the Study of Slavery (ISOS) — formerly known as the International Centre for the History of Slavery — which was established in 1998 by the late Thomas Wiedemann. ISOS now pursues research on historical and contemporary slavery, and forced labour in all parts of the globe and through all periods. Sascha is also the joint editor of the Histories of Slavery and its Global Legacies series with Cambridge University Press.
