Iron Age hillforts are few and far between in the East Midlands, and not very well understood. However, archaeological discoveries from Burrough Hill and Breedon Hill, both in Leicestershire, are providing important clues about life and beliefs at these important fortifications. This exhibition will feature a fascinating range of everyday objects from both hillforts, with a spotlight on a spectacular hoard of chariot fittings from Burrough Hill.
