The League of Nations, born in the ashes of WW I, promised a new world order. Yet, it left the issue of racial equality unresolved. From Liberia to Ethiopia, this exhibition explores how the race question confronted the League and how the lessons of these years profoundly shaped the creation of the organisation’s successor, the United Nations, in 1945.
