The Lion at Basford

The Lion has done remarkably well establishing itself as a destination pub for cask ale, craft beer, live music and great food. It’s situated opposite Shipstone Street tram stop and right next door to Black Iris Brewery... so they know a thing or two about beer!

A permanent selection of 11 cask ales dominates the bar but an impressive five craft taps, ten traditional ciders and 40 plus bottles and cans compliment what the pub has become famous for. Their food is highly rated and a new menu boasts a selection of twenty plus burgers, hot dogs, wings and halloumi plus a range of homemade vegan-friendly specials.

The Lion is famous for live music and hosts the best of the local music scene four times a week.
