Screening Le Bonheur + Forage-along

Thursday 18 July 2024

At Mammoth - A Climate Action Cinema

Price £10
Times 19:00 - 21:00

Join us for (possibly) the world’s second ever forage-along!

Agnès Varda’s Le bonheur is a Technicolor dream that hides a kaleidoscopic nightmare – or, as Varda describes it, it is ‘a summer peach with its perfect colours, and inside there’s a worm’. The film’s tale of bliss and betrayal has confused and divided critics since its release.

Worms won’t be joining us for the screening, but The Nottingham Forager will. In her expert company we will sample foraged delights inspired by the film and hear her reflections on the changes she has noticed along Nottinghamshire rivers.

This event is part of the ‘Water and World Cinema’ film season dedicated to local, national, and international bodies of water and inspired by the intense reporting on these waterways in the UK press. The film season is generously sponsored by NTU’s Institute for Knowledge Exchange.
