As part of our Craft Fair Contemporary launch night, we're hosting a wreath making workshop in The Studio. Join Alex from Zephyr's to decorate wreath frames with lush foliage, moss, leaves, berries, ribbons, dried potpourri and a range of other materials.
Carefully supervised, you will use pliers and modelling wire to attach natural components and build the form of the wreath. The foliage is locally sourced from the Arboretum with permission from NCC’s park ranger Danielle. Natural moss and other natural materials can be included, such as cinnamon sticks, dried oranges, and other decorative elements and will all be included. The wreaths are medium sized and around 12-14 inches diameter.
This workshop is drop-in and costs £15 per person, per wreath, with all proceeds going to Zephyr’s charity, who support families in Nottinghamshire touched by pregnancy loss and child bereavement. This mindful activity encourages slowing down, opening up conversations and focusing on a communal activity that is accessible to all.
Recommended age range: 10 years+
Craft Fair Contemporary will be open in The Space 5pm-8pm, and continues on Sat 30 Nov and Sun 1 Dec with over 40 stallholders. The launch evening, which runs at the same time as the wreath making workshop, has free drinks to the first 100 guests and live music from Benjamin Luhis Trio - expect an exploration of alt- r&b, jazz, broken beat and EDM.
This event is held in The Studio.
