Description:
So much successful fantasy fiction depends on the depth, complexity and intrigue of its setting – and this is where worldbuilding comes in! But developing a new realm fro scratch can be a challenge, so this workshop is here to help!
In this slot, we’ll explore where to begin with worldbuilding, how it coincides and connects with story, and give you the chance to develop your own unique setting with our writing exercise.
If you can't make it, don't worry! The workshop will be recorded via Zoom and sent via a Dropbox link, with other learning materials and goodies, to ALL ticket holders after the session.
Learning Goals:
- Exploring the meaning and importance of worldbuilding
- Establishing some of the key elements that go into compelling fantasy settings
- Looking at how to deliver worldbuilding well within a story
- Creating the beginnings of a fresh fantasy world in our writing exercise
