The fens and marshes of Lincolnshire and Norfolk to this day are shrouded in mystery and folklore.  A county of  big skies .   The rich fertile land was drained by the Romans, irrigated by man made dykes and waterways.

Over the centuries since ,  improved and influenced by Dutch engineers,  the marshes   reclaimed by land owners, but not without violent opposition from the marsh dwellers 

Then inlay black water running in to the marshes,  often shrouded in mist is not a place for the unwary.   Many have ventured in, never to be seen again.  Stories that span over a hundred years,  the Black Mill,  the Grim Reaper, the story of Mucky Porter.  Learn of Black Shuck, The Fen Giants , Black Snags , Gobbits and Marsh Horrors
