Lace Thief’s hometown single launch show celebrates the release of ‘Sister of the North’ alongside never before heard tracks from upcoming album ‘Local Honey’, written, recorded and produced entirely in Nottingham.
Lace Thief’s deep connection to people and place fuels her work. Performing with a full band, she explores connections between youth and future, documented through honest vocals, unfolding synth and sentimental instrumentals, held together with an indie/folk embrace. Holding a torch for the midlands the show will feature artworks responding to the new single from Leicester based mixed media artist Gemma Vincent, investigating found and re-purposed materials.
Influenced by artists such as Soko, Beach House and Youth Lagoon, Lace Thief draws from her poetic origins moving between song and prose.
