A chance to see “one of our best performers” in Beeston…
Beeston Folk Nights at The Royal British Legion in Beeston offers a unique opportunity for an intimate evening with one of our best performers, on Friday 25th October: Steve Tilston.
“...great stuff...great fun, wonderful playing and top songs, what more do you want from an evening.” Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2
He’s been fifty plus years in the business but is in as fine form as ever with no sign of slowing down just yet. His song ‘The Reckoning’ won Best Original Song at the Folk Awards in 2012, he’s appeared on ‘Later with Jools Holland’ and BBC Four’s Songwriters’ Circle. Steve is best known for his songwriting, but he is also a blinding, dazzling guitarist with a style drawing from folk, blues, jazz and classical to create a sound that is recognisably Tilston. His new studio album ‘Such Times’ is out now.

“The more you listen, the more there is to discover.” Bob Harris
“A great narrator on top form.”The Observer ****
...dominated by Tilston’s exquisite guitar work … The Guardian ****
...songs of great heart, delivered with authority and instrumental panache.

Another superb set from the good Mr Tilston, who just can’t seem to put a finger wrong. FROOTS
