Wassailing Weekend and the Return Of the Krampus

Join Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham for  the traditional wassailing ceremony at Sherwood Forest to wish for the health of the woodland for the year ahead.

But the Whitby Krampus Run will be in the forest to disrupt things once again!

Make a lantern for Saturday's lantern parade from the Major Oak as the sun sets, and bring pots and pans, and get dressed up in colourful clobber and interesting headgear for the noisy parade from the Visitor Centre on Sunday.

There will also be entertainment from Rattlejag Morris and the Lady Bay Revellers Morris Dancing troupes, as well as Hucknall Ukelele Group and a traditional mummers play from Calverton Real Ale and Plough Play Preservation Society.
