Circus Of Life

Six Nottingham artists come together to present 'Circus of Life', an exhibition exploring the experience of being human. Join us at Surface Gallery for opening night from 6pm on Friday 27th September, featuring circus performers, live music and DJ sets. 'Circus of Life' will run at Surface Gallery until Saturday 19th October. 

The Circus spans from Corrina Rothwell's expressive figurative paintings, Angela Walsh's characterful line drawings and bold dioramas, to the brash pop-art prints of Dick D. Spice. Paula Reid intrigues with futuristic urban landscapes while D.A. Orli invites you to step into the surreal, with absurd and playful exhibits from The Ersatz Museum. Maximillion's surrealist collage delves into the subconscious world of dreams and provides a new way of seeing. The collection reflects a myriad of responses to the theme of the human story, elucidated through exclusive artist talks, opening event and closing ceremony. The artists create a space for interactive dialogue between artists and art lovers of Nottingham and a unique opportunity to purchase high quality, affordable, contemporary art.
