Stories From the Village

A free event showing the Dennis Potter film - Stand Up Nigel Barton (which was  filmed in Bestwood village in 1963). The event will then open up for people to tell us their stories of living and working in a working class mining community and village. 

This event is run by The Working Class Collective - led by local author, academic and anarchist Lisa McKenzie. Artists will be present to take some of the stories and turn them into art work to be given back to the community.
