NTU is delighted to welcome an abundance of vocal brilliance to the University Hall stage, with an evening of gospel music to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2025. Don't miss performances from Voices of the Kingdom (a sextet of singers) with support from Matamando.
This hour-long concert will feature a mixture of popular and worship music that reflect the themes of Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and work, including songs by Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye.
Voices of the Kingdom are six singers, some of which are from London-based gospel collective the Kingdom Choir who have performed across the UK and beyond for over 30 years. Most notably, the Choir performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018.
Matamando is a singer-songwriter based in Derby. Over the last 20 years she has worked with artists both in the UK and Malawi. Matamando has sung with Malawi's most prominent gospel singers and shared the stage with gospel greats including Israel Houghton. She currently leads praise and worship at the LifeCentre Church
